I hear that quicktime pro is good and I have used that.
But that's only for AVI files.
When I was blind and confused with using windows. I would use Total Video Converter. I gotta say it wasn't that bad.
It could convert even .OGG files. And all into MP4 or some other files.
Not only that. But it could rip the audio out of video files. Really useful. And even merge files. But because I made the switch lots of the programs I used to use won't work anymore even though I have bootcamp because I need to pay for the stupid codes again. I actually liked the ringtone maker for iPhone. Unlike the free ones you could make it longer then 30 seconds. But anyways...
I know how powerful the mac is and I know there has to be some really good video converters. I will say one video converter that I hate alot is PSPVideo. I hate the whole GUI and Interface of it. And it just really sucks and is icky. But I know alot of people will use it. Nullriver isn't pretty bad. Of course I shouldn't be so quick to judge since I am using mac now.
Oh yeah and this is mostly to convert stuff to iPhone quality. Although I can easily change the size, video, and quality with most converting programs.
I have found these so far.
Xilisoft Video Converter for Mac

It doesn't look too bad.
Video Converter for Mac OSX

That I wish had pictures.
Mac Video Converter

That one doesn't look too bad either. Looks pretty simple enough to use.
4Media Video Converter for Mac

For some reason that one interests me the most and looks really good. Some of these have trials so I can just try that too.
But yeah. Does anyone know which of these are good or know any good ones?
I don't mind paying for one if it works well. But of course free is nice
