i love horror movies but can never find a good one anyone know a good one thats scary and suspensful it also takes alot to scare me

i liked the descent movies but they wernt very scary i also like freddy kruger jason and michael myers but the more slashers than horror's

Teeth. also known as dentata

watch that and you'll have nightmares, guaranteed ;)

lol thanx il check it out i have been told to watch ringu but iv seen the american version of it so it would be a bit predictable but i agree even tho iv never seen any asian horror's are suppose to be scary

Some suggestions:

Inside
Frontiere(s)
Martyrs
Session 9
Cold Prey
Malevolence
Ils (Them)
The Children
Lake Mungo

thanx 4 those i check them out aswell but the only one on the list i recognize is martyrs iv never seen the whole movie just a scene on youtube

Good list....but I would remove "Lake Mungo". It was well made but I found it dull and not scary/creepy in the least.

I would suggest the original 1974 version of "Black Christmas".

Hah! That is actually my favorite horror movie of all time!

I thought Lake Mungo had some creepy elements to it, though I understand it being divisive.

I tried to stay a tad recent, though.

A few other creepy/decent, rather recent ones:

May
Rooms For Tourists
Hatchet
Eden Lake
Let the Right One In
Dead End
Trick r Treat
High Tension
Satan's Little Helper

I actually really like The Ring with Naomi Watts. The first one only. And Quarantine is pretty good. I think you can get it redbox.

"Scary-Suspenseful movies" don't get any better than Jeepers Creepers Parts 1 & 2....

Any other film is child's play...

iv seen both jeepers creepers movies they were good but didn't have any real scares lol iv also seen all the childs play movies i think i saw the humor rather than the horror.

Oh....So you've seen MOST horror Flicks and you feel you're pretty much immune to the Guts & Gore?

If the "Horror Genre" doesnt make you "jump" or "gasp" then you should focus on Dramas, Comedies, Musicals, Westerns, Sci-Fi Thrillers or Animation...I'm NOT a Fan of Comedy Flicks and I NEVER waste my money @ the Box-Office seeing any Comedy regardless of the Big name actors...A couple of Laughs here & there is NOT worth the admission price and popcorn in my opinion....I have to have Drama, Adventure, Action, Alien Monsters & Suspense..

I MIGHT watch a Comedy flick when it airs on HBO...

i ment i saw the comedy in the childs play movies rather than the horror the only horror movies that have ever freaked me out is the phantasam movies also i wouldn't watch a musical if i was payed to im not a fan of them

"Let the Right One In" was a great show! as was "High Tension"

Give "The Audition" a whirl! I also reallt enjoy the old Hitchcock movies and The Shining as well. Here's some more:

Ju-on
Rec
Dawn of the Dead
Jacob's Ladder
The Changling (1980)
Open Water
Event Horizon
Alien

Suspiria!

No one has mentioned my favorite! It's pretty suspenseful, but I find it more beautiful than scary, to be honest. It's just expertly crafted. There are a couple classic kills in the movie, such as one involving a stained glass ceiling.
