I Love The Divine Miss M, Favorite Movie is "The Rose", Favorite Song Is "Wind Beneath My Wings", With "The Rose" Coming In A Close Second, Great Singer And Great Actress, Any Bette fans in The house???

OMG I LOVE Bette Midler!! Hard to pick a favourite movie .... probably "The Rose". Couldn't possibly choose a favourite song ... I love everything she sings! "Wind Beneath My Wings" is special to me because we played it at my mother's funeral and it reminds me of her. Also loved "From a Distance" .... such a powerful message in the lyrics, and when Bette sings it, it gives me goosebumps!

Bette singing "From a Distance" live in Las Vegas ....

I love her. I like the older material better then some of the newer stuff. I don't care for "From A Distance"

I actually like the weaker album - the one with from A Distance, Moonlight Dancing, Day and Night etc.

Oh.. that means YES! Another Divine Miss M's fan is in the house.

I adore this woman. I love her movies so much. Some of my favorites are Ruthless People, First Wives Club, Hocus Pocus, Big Business and Outrageous Fortune.

But if a movie has Bette Midler in it, no matter how bad it is, I watch it and love her in it. Beaches, The Stepford Wives, Isn't She Great and Drowning Mona come to mind.

I even watched every episode of her sitcom back in 2000. (And my mom didn't know I was gay. ha!)

But I haven't seen The Rose (not sure why...) and can never get through For the Boys.
I liked Stella as a kid and would like to see it again. I remember the last scene really upsetting me.

Two other ones I'd like to see all the way through are Down and Out in Beverly Hills and Jinxed. I only caught a little bit of both movies on TV on two separate late nights, and was too tired to finish them.

I have two of her CDs from the 70's. The Divine Miss M and Songs For the New Depression. Both are really good.

I read that she'd be acting in the new remake of The Women soon, and with a cast like this: Annette Bening, Bette Midler, Eva Mendes, Meg Ryan, Carrie Fisher, Debra Messing, Cloris Leachman, Candice Bergen, Debi Mazar, Jad Pinkett Smith, Ana Gasteyer and Joanna Gleason, I'll definitely be buying a ticket.
:-)

She was great doing the double role in "Big Business". With all the scenery-chewing, it's a wonder there were any sets left!

For The Boys made me shed tears, just like Beaches. Well, not as much. :(

Well I love her, but not in a crazy stalker fan kinda way. I mean anything I've seen her in I've loved her in. Beaches is one of my favorite movies and makes me cry every time! She's brilliant in that movie. I love a few of her songs; Wind Beneath My Winds, From a Distance, The Rose, Every Road Leads Back to You, I Think It's Going to Rain Today...Depending on the reviews I just might catch her in Vegas when she takes over at Caesar's Palace in February.

I've been to a few of her concerts and seen most of her movies.

She's not my favorite performer, but she's in the top 5.

I do think she puts on the best live shows of anyone now performing.
