This story is getting the press that it is because it is a juicy beleaguered worker's secret fantasy. I mean, he literally ESCAPED from a nightmare job situation after being cursed and assaulted by some crazed whore. And this is a guy who gave 20 years of service with a smile. Obviously that bitch from hell knew what buttons to press and set him off. The symbolism of sliding down the escape ramp with beer in hand was better than a movie of the week. I seriously doubt he'll see amy jail time ad may have a new career in the offing.

The flight attendant had some obvious baggage. I think he's a faggy drama queen but let's give credit where do. Something pushes him over the edge so he resolves it by bitching out before grabbing a beer and taking a ride down the emergancy slide and now, the press is all over him which means bits of money at least for the meantime; in about a month or two he'll have to hit the talk show circuit if he wants that free money to keep flowing but overall, he made most of us laugh and on top of that, he seems to be doing better now. The only think I think sucked was that there was no video camera rolling when this ordeal took place.

And people who complain the attention is unwarranted strike me as the sort who think logically and mechanically about everything. Obviously cancer, world hunger, and the ongong threat of nuclear war are more important news topics in the grand scheme of things. But human nature draws us to situations that are ironic, humorous, and contain some sort of universal, personal message.

Whether he's right or wrong, you can't dismiss him as some "faggy drama queen."

He did the same job, day in and say out, for 20 unremarkable years. That doesn't sound like a "faggy drama queen" to me. But he had this one moment when, for whatever reason, enough was enough. He just took things a little further than most people would have.

But what a stylish exit. That may be the faggy, dramatic flourish there.

Only problem is,the way he left the scene just screamed for attention...have your tirade,say I'm done and off with it.That's the way to do it,not create a made for tv showcase movie.It appears though no one corroborates his story,he had the gash apparently when the flight began,acted strangely and out of it throughout the flight...he may have been stressed,and required family and workplace support but it appears his story as told by him is a fabrication.

Correct. But the story is the passenger still hit his head with the overhead before takeoff during boarding. Since this was on the front of the plane, most passengers had not boarded yet which is why they did not see it happen. Most of the media has been assuming this happened after the flight. After the flight, he offered to help her with her carry-on, at which time she again told him "fuck you".

I t doesn't surprise me that someone got hit in the head. Have you seen what people bring on the plane when the stuff should go into cargo and they get out of paying the $25! I flew on Delta and saw this happen at the gate. No wonder the guy got hit with the luggage.

Hardly. There are ways to deal with unruly people. Acting like a drama queen or going postal aren't two ways.
