Anybody else caught in the big Eastern snowstorm?

I'm in New Jersey, and it's already piling up. I'll be out more than once tonight shoveling. It's gonna be a White Christmas!

No, because I live in Florida, and it's only 64 Fahrenheit here.

Central Ohio only got a couple inches from it and won't be getting any more from the storm. Fortunately it was just enough for a white Christmas as it is supposed to be cold enough for it to stick around until Christmas.

YES! it's been snowing here in Northern Virginia since about 9pm last night and hasn't stopped. It's supposed to continue till about 4 am tomorrow. Last time i measured, around noon, we had 15 inches already. I'm gonna go take some pictures.

Lots of snow in Maryland, heading up to NJ for Chrismas, will be nice to have a white Christmas for a change.

I've heard that. I've heard that south of the Mason-Dixon line they shut everything down if there's a quarter of an inch on the ground.

It is for somewhat good reason. Southern states don't account for snow removal/buildup prevention in their city and town budgets, therefore while less than an inch of snow is no problem for northern areas with large snow budgets, it can wreck havok in areas with no means to get rid of the snow.

I'm visiting family in Delaware right now, and it's coming down pretty hard. My baby brother is driving back from Alabama, and last we heard, he was around Roanoke, VA. I hope he gets through the mess okay.

We had a dusting in Northern Ohio this morning but it's warm enough now that most of it's melted. Probably won't be having a white christmas this year (again)

I am in Va. we have about 14 inches here. I just finished shoveling the drive way. A neigbor told me the the roads arre still a mess . The city have not had a chance to start plowing the roads yet. I might brave it and see for myself. Lilbit i hope that your little brother make it okay, last i heard Roanoke was hit hard . drivers were stranded on I81 and they called out the National Guard to rescue them.

Plenty of snow here 75 miles east of Pittsburgh... shoveled the driveway twice today already. Drove out briefly this morning to get groceries, but am staying in the house until I report to work on Monday.
