Filthydelphia, huh?Mike, I'm just south of Pennsylvania right now, and most of the state got quite a bit of snow. I imagine he's in the Filthydelphia area, which got over a foot. The wedding may very well be postponed.
Philadelphia got nearly 2 feet of snow and Glen Foerd is in Phila. If the wedding is today (Sunday) they might have a chance, as many of the main roads have been cleared. If it was Sat. then they've got a lot of leftover fois gras and champagne..On a side note my US brethren may be able to answer a question for me. My boss has gone home to Pensylvainia (sp) and is getting married on Saturday (either today or yesterday I can't remember with the time differences). Is it snowing hard there?
Thanks, it's one of the Victorian stations and built in 1870. Some nice details and a 3 min from my front door. From there I can be in Phila. in 15 min, DC or NYC in around 90 min.alfaPA your pictures are beautiful. The train station resembled a Christmas card
Those pictures literally make me physically ill. That's how much I despise snow.

Some poor JUBBER got caught in the snow...
Any guesses as to whom it might be?

I just saw something interesting on 9 News (Denver news)...
Everybody thinks of Denver as being cold and snowy, right? The ideal place to have a White Christmas?
Wrong!
In Denver, over the past 105 years, there has been snow on the ground only 35 times, and falling snow only 12 times on Christmas Day.
Anyway ... there's only snow in a few shady areas here. So, yeah, I'm not caught in the big Eastern storm. We'll get ours, but not right now. Check back in March.![]()
Oh, but Mr. Hotdog, did you forget Christmas 2006?![]()
I thought it was going to much worse. It snowed for hours, but only just a few inches. I was prepped to be snowed in until Monday. Had a bunch of firewood ready, food and what not. That hyped up snow storm turned out to be mild in my area. But I'm definitely not complaining.
I've noticed over the years that when bad weather is predicted for my area (Memphis), if I go out and stock up on food, batteries, dog food for the dogs, kerosene for the kerosene lamps, etc., it rarely does anything bad that lasts more than a day or two.
Usually, it's when I don't make any preparations at all, that the sky opens up and there's enough snow and ice to keep me housebound for a week.
