I HIGHLY doubt anybody here has seen this, or even enjoyed it so im not expecting much of a response. As for me this is one of my favorite movies EVER! This shit just rocks me every time i see it...Even tho i haven't seen it in a few years......... Anybody remember the remake ? Just wanted to post this real quick, cant really go in depth.

I and several friends got high and went to see it when it came out .. nothing like seeing it on the big screen. He were laughing throughout the movie and people behind us asked if we were high because they didn't see anything funny about it.

it is good but doesn't really translate as well to the small screen .. kinda like Rocky Horror Picture Show

Yea i like it. Not as much as you but it did make me obsessed with Julie Strain for about a month.

Julie stars in the sequel heavy Metal 2000. Which was still enjoyable if you ask me. But the original had different feel.

the original and the sequel felt like they were completely different movies.

Remember it well--was great

I never knew there WAS a sequel.

The first one was cool in many ways, but I think it was a little over-aimed at that difficult to reach 12-18 yo straight male demographic category.

For the longest time it wasn't available on tape or disk. did that change?

I've been trying to figure out what kind of drugs the OP was on....I think there are Amish that have seen Heavy Metal...

It's been available on DVD for a while. As for the sequel....It was interesting, to say the least. Although the first is a classic in a lot of ways, especially if you are looking for something animated that isn't kids/anime/Disney...
