was at the gym by myself and one thing that i found annoying was that i have to restrain myself from checking out other guys in the gym. #-o i was trying my hardest not to stare at one dude's ass that was working out next to me. it was really uncomfortable. i can't help but look.

I know I'll probably get some flack for this but I think most guys that join a gym do so to look at guys and be seen. I don't think there is anything wrong with it. If you are really uncomfortable, you can get some free weights and work out at home. It is a lot cheaper and you can get in shape just the same.

Admiring the scenery should be an incentive to propel us to work harder at the gym.. This is how I would characterise my appreciation of those working out next to me. I rather believe that this is a rather common experience for most, if not all gym rats as our means to self improvement. Body appreciation is not a monopoly of the gay man working out at the gym.

If you really want an attractive gluteus maximus it is imperative that you focus on your squats enabling you to also be appreciated for your hard butt.

I have always been very shy so this has been an issue for me. It is ok to do a quick glance. It is rude to stare. If you want to get a quick peak try using the mirrors on the wall rather than looking directly. ;)

Regardless of Sexual orientation there's a mixture of people that just wanna train and listen to music, those that wanna show off their Muscled-bods, those that wanna admire the scenery and those that like all of the above....

I go to the gym to move iron, primarily. It's a great stress reliever and is good for you besides.

I'd be lying if I said I didn't check out the scenery. Don't want to get my gay card taken away. But gawking is kinda rude. As others have suggested, mirrors are a great way to scope out the other boys inconspicuously.

i hate my body at the best of times so never had the curage to go to a gym and probely never will even thought i want to get in shape i am to self concess of the other people and what they think and would say

Uncomfortable for being human? No.

I'd have to be blind everywhere - I see droolworthy guys at the grocery store where I work, and function just fine.

Have to wear underwear more often so i'm not all... noticed, but hey, small price to pay.

So, it's a rare day when kallipolis, MisterMajestic and bankside all agree on something. It's a little unsettling to be honest. One more and I'd say it's the eve of the apocalypse.

I was there before and probably most other guys who work out too. I'm sure they won't care one way or another if you're around. Somebody just might offer a tip or two.

I can't assure you that someone might say/do something to make you feel bad. Just like with any other scene out there.

If you want to achieve a better physique, a willing/earnst attitude goes a long way.

what r u talking about? that's half the fun of going 2 the gym, besides the good workout, u get 2 check out hot guys. i go 2 the gym at my university, i mean omg u should c some of the athletes that come n there, and u should c what they wear. my apartment is located by the university's football/baseball field, i can literally look out my window and c all these hot jocks doing their morning and afternoon workouts. sometimes i use binoculars. i dont c nething wrong with just looking, but do it discreetly.

Are you kidding?? That's the BEST part of the gym!!! I check out hotties all the time. There's nothing wrong with looking, just try not to get caught(which really isn't that hard)...|

I wouldn't go to the gym if I couldn't check out hotties. But then, I would be rather annoyed to have a hottie right next to me on a row of cardio equipment, since I couldn't watch him without being rude and creepy about it.

Because yeah, a quick check-out is expected, a longer glance of admiration is tolerable; but staring is rude and creepy. That's why they have TVs in there, so you can look at something else in between ogles.

I used to time my visits so I could use the treadmill facing the studio room during the kickboxing class. Erotic stimulation is very good for getting your heart rate going, so you burn more calories. ;)

When I do go, I usually time it when nobody overly hot is there and usually they are in the bottom part lifting free weights. I'm usually on a treadmill or some other machine with the pins in it, lol. If a cute guys walks by, I take a glance but thats it because if I start gawking, I just leave because I won't focus. I usually put on my headphones and zone out and try to ignore people, its the only way i make it thru because all I need an excuse to leave lol.

I would be uncomfortable at a gym, for many reasons. That's one of the reasons why I workout at home. Money and travel time being other reasons.
