I'm 5' 11" - 6'0" ish and I love when a guy is shorter than me. It just makes me feel like a real protector. He's my tiny prized procession, if you will. Does anyone else feel the same way?
Of course, tall guys are nice, too. I don't really have a preference for either one. :roll:

i feel like this is an insult. us short people are not trophies. we are just like you. some are very sensitive about our height. if we can't swing at your head, we'll kick you in the nuts or kick in your kneecaps to bring you down to height. that's not to you but to anybody wanna make fun of me being short.

My intention truly wasn't to be spiteful. I don't equate being short to being less of a human, and I didn't think that I came off that way. Consider this a short person appreciation thread. With the "possession" sentence, I was just describing the feeling of being physically larger than your partner, wrapping your arms around them and such. Hope it makes sense.
 
I've only dated guys shorter than me, simply because I'm 6'1" and most guys tend to be below that. I don't really care one way or the other. I certainly don't see myself in the "protector" role, though. I'm just in the "guy who can reach the stuff on the top shelf" role.

I am the short guy and I don't have preference on dating tall guys, but 99% of guys are taller than me. I am 5'6'.
 
I'm 6'3" and my BF is 6'1". My general cut off point is 5'9". At that point, it is over a half foot difference. I'm not saying I can't find guys shorter than 5'9" attractive, but it just makes it a bit awkward physically.
 
For some reason, after leaving JUB and coming back, I realized just how offensive this thread came off. What I think I was intending to do (or what I would now rather do) was ask if you preferred to be taller or shorter than your mate. My answer is obviously taller.
 
I find shorter guys attractive. No protection issues and such, I just do.

I'm only about 5'7'', but I love guys who are are even shorter than me, providing they are in proportion and not sort of stunted-looking. :lol:

In fact, generally speaking, the taller a guy is the less likely I am to find him attractive ... which is a bit of a shame as a lot of guys are gigantically freakishly tall. #-o
 
I prefer guys who are shorter than me. I dont know why. When I think about it the closest I can come to describe it is as others have, that 'protection instinct' type thing. but I think that's a clumsy of describing it. because its not really about protection or anything.

I am 5'5. I could not dat anyone shorter than me. Honestly, I like tall guys because I do feel a bit more protected with them. However.... it becomes the douchound humping the st bernard.
