Anyone else care for William & Katherine's baby?

The real deal is beyond the monarchy issue I just don't know them from adam so I don't care more than I would any other stranger's baby especially if I don't even come into contact with them in person....it's all pretty remote stuff but the media blows it up super-size.

It Kate keeps clenching, she could bypass the terrible twos all together.

I don't have the time to watch the news here in France so I am hoping someone will announce the happy event when it happens.

Queen Elizabeth II and her cousin, Margaret Rhodes, were born just a few months apart.

They were constant playmates, and have been close friends throughout their lives. Rhodes was there when Elizabeth was smitten with Philip, and was a bridesmaid at their wedding.

So as Queen Elizabeth awaits the birth of her granddaughter, and the next heir to the throne, one would expect Rhodes to be unbearably excited, right?

“Not terribly,” she told CNN’s Christiane Amanpour on Monday, exploding with laughter. “Well, you know, everybody has babies, and it’s lovely. I don’t get wildly excited about it.”

If nothing changes, the child will one day be the Chief of State of eight countries, including several of our closest allies, United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, New Zealand.....

Any minute now. I'm waiting for a news flash. People seem to be so darn sure it's going to be a girl.

I predict, for a boy: Charles Arthur William Phillip. For a girl, Mary Elizabeth Diana. Boys usually get 4 names, girls 3.

Lets bump this thread to see how the predictions fare.

Later I predicted Charles William Michael Phillip.

I received the news that it was a boy by e-mail just a minute before coming onto JUB.

William always keeps me up to date with important things happening in England.:D

Amazing news, I'm so happy for them. What do you guys think will be the name? Everyone at work wants a James but I would love another George

I just watched them live coming out of the maternity and presenting the child to the press and public.

I found it both simple and quite moving.

Yes I choked up a little but then I am English, I like my Royal Family and they make a nice couple.
