Anyone else find most straight guys annoying/repulsive?

I know many, MANY people gay/bi guys are so mindlessly obsessed with straight guys and make total fools of themselves and degrade themselves to be with them. But for the most part I cannot stand them. Now there are some good ones out there. Most of my friends are straight guys, but sometimes even the way they behave drives me nuts.

Despite the metrosexual movement there are still tons of straight guys that look and dress like shit. Many still have awful haircuts, smell bad, and are just plain funky and dirty. A lot of their personalities are shit too. It mystifies me how so many gay guys especially on the boards are so in love with their straight friends.

Whenever I go out I'm bombarded by straight douchebags. They all think they're really hot in the sack. But when you talk to any girls they have been with you hear otherwise.They think every gay guy wants them regardless how gross or busted they are. TBH though this part isnt entirely their fault because so many gay guys fall for the grossest straight guys who appeal to them merely because they are straight. Clearly I'm generalizing and like I said there are plenty of decent straight guys out there but this is the truth about most of the ones I encounter.

I have never been into the straight guy thing. I have liked straight guys who I thought at first could be not so straight. But once I realized they are only into girls they lose all appeal. Is there anyone else who is not mesmerized by this whole straight thing?

I've never fallen for a straight friend (or a straight stranger, for that matter). But that isn't because I find them repulsive. It's just because I have no interest in somebody who isn't going to have interest in me. My straight friends are cool folks - if they weren't, they wouldn't be my friends. Sure, a couple of them dress like shit, but hell - *I* dress like shit.

You're talking about two different things, though.

There's the "I want to seduce a straight guy" thing..

And there's the "I like trade-y guys, street hustler-looking guys, blue collar guys, street thug guys, fratboy guys..." etc crowd.

There's a whole group of gay guys who work pretty hard at the "straight" look. And there's a whole group of gay men who are their adoring fans.

Straight and "straight-looking/straight-acting" (ugh, that term) aren't the same thing.

So what if some straight guys dress and look like shit, its not a crime and its not hurting anyone. A persons sexuality doesn't determine whether or not they dress well. It also doesn't make you annoying or repulsive.

I think that gay men who only want straight men are idiots but you can't blame straight men for that.

See, I'd say that wasn't ignorance, but resentment over being a gay man in a predominately straight world.

Most of my straight guy friends are pretty much the good ole' boys that the OP apparently finds distasteful. But they're my friends and some of them I've know since the cradle. I don't particularly care what they dress like, and they do practice basic hygiene and don't smell, except on those occasions whey they're guilty of cologne abuse.

I have noticed some straight guys who seem to think that every gay guy in the world wants them and I have some friends like that, but it really doesn't bother me all that much. I know they're just displaying their ignorance and a needless fear that has been instilled in them.

One such friend of mine was actually the first person I came out to. I had heard him make many homophobic comments over the years but, like most guys, I felt he was just going with the pack when he said things like that.

I did mention after I came out to him that I never had any sexual attraction toward him, but I really did it just to avoid an awkward conversation later if he decided to ask. I don't expect him to never make another homophobic comment around his buddies again, but I do expect him to respect me and treat me as the friend I've been for the past 10 years. So far so good, and one more guy who "gets it".

Same can be said about lots of gay and bi guys. Not all of them are clean shaved, smooth skinned and clean. Lots of them are just as filthy as you described.

The ones who are afraid that every gay guy wants them are usually the ones who are complete jackasses or insecure with their own sexuality. I won't lie. I think straight guys can be really hot but that's probably because I see a lot more of them than I do gay guys and they have qualities I'm more attracted to but I understand 100% why you feel the way you do.

To be fair though, there is nothing wrong with some light eye brow waxing/plucking but when it's shaped and thinned to a point where they'd look like a woman if they wore a wig then there is a problem and I've sadly seen many gay and straight guys who took it that far and are fooled to think they actually look good with bitch-brows.

15 years ago, if I saw a guy with shaved pubes at the gym, I said, "Gay!".

Now, if I see a guy with shaved pubes, I say, "Straight!".

And that "landing strip" thing. Ugh. A "soul patch" looks absurd on the face... why on fucking earth would you want one on your dick?

This "shaped" thing that straight guys got into a few years ago is just queer. It just looks like low-rent drag queens. And it's like an epidemic among latino young guys right now which makes them look like the John Lequizamo character in Too Wong Foo.
