I love the "Scream" series. I also thought the remake of "Texas Chainsaw Massacre" was pretty good. "Joy Ride" is another favorite. So is "28 Days Later"
I also love the classics with Vincent Price.
I have a friend who collects vintage horror movie posters in languages other than English.

I love horror movies. Especially old ones (before 70s) and the 80s style (John Carpenter's style for example)

Suspiria (Argento)
Psycho
Omen
Phantasm
Exorcist (all 3)
the ... Dead series (Night, Dawn, Day...)
Nosferatu (the silent of 20s) or The phantom of the opera (30s)
The Fog
Shining

and many many more
I ceally can't choose

I love movies but i have a love for horror because it was the movie i started watching first

I prefer films that biuld up a good story rather than relying on gore and blood to :O you.

Grew up in the 80s, so the slasher films are my favorites...

Nightmare on Elm Street series (even met Heather Langenkamp)
The earlier Halloween movies
Friday the 13th

Mommie Dearest...

Oh, wait a minute wire hangers aren't scary; it's just the dirt that scares me.

mikey

I love them :gogirl: :gogirl:

IKWYDLS is great! And Scream 2 is my favourite out of the triology . . . and what is the common element in these two? Sarah Michelle Gellar :p

That aside, I love horror movies, wheather they are slasher, paranormal, etc. Gore, no gore, doesn't matter to me!

I saw Halloween in the theater the day it came out.....I have never been the same again, and October 30th became my own national Holiday.

Nightmare on Elm Street scared the shit out of me, haven't been the same since, but I'm immune to it now.

"Suspiria"...that's great. Dario Argento's films are always fun to watch. He like most Italian horror film directors always like to include something blasphemous in their stories (i.e., the chick taking communion in Suspiria).

I personally love 1 and 2 of the "Scream" series. It took me a while to swallow S3, it seemed too thrown together in explaining its conclusion.

Other faves:

"Pirahna" - the 70's original, the 90's remake sucked ass, there's a new version being made this year...prolly suck ass too.

"Texas Chainsaw Massacre" - The original

"The Hills Have Eyes"

"The Last House on The Left"

"Nightmare on Elm Street" - the first one and part 3.

"Truth or Dare" - that scene with Madonna BJing the water bottle...I woke up in cold sweats for about a month after seeing that ;)

Peace...have a good one everyone :p

Pretty much the same here! Although I do remember begging my mother to take me to see "The Omen" when it was first out, so I guess I was already predisposed. (By the way, she wouldn't, but she did let me read the book. Go figure!)

I do have to say that I disagree on Argento. Yes, his movies are beautifully filmed, but the scripts suck ass. Same for Fulci with the exception of “Zombie” (“Zombi 2”), which is one of my favorites.

I like the Romero zombie movies, and nearly everything that Cronenberg has done (I wasn’t too impressed with “Spider”). I like Craven a lot, but Carpenter is hit and miss. Recently, I’ve been really impressed with Lucky McKee. “May” is a classic, and his Masters of Horror entry was a lot of fun (and gay positive to boot).

Oh yesss, I love horror movies!
The Ring and The Ring two scared the shit out of me -- but those Teeny-Horror-Movies (Final Destination) are pretty funny I think..

Love them! Here are some of my favorites:

1) The Exorcist (the original)
2) The Shining (Kubrick - not the crappy TV miniseries)
3) Texas Chainsaw Massacre (the original)
4) Friday the 13th I and II
5) Halloween I and II
6) The Exorcism of Emily Rose
7) Dreamcatcher

I love horror movies, especially ones from the 1970's, those are the best. Here are my faves:

1. The Exorcist
2. The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1974)
3. Halloween
4. The Shining
5. NIghtmare On Elm Street
6. Psycho
7. The Silence Of The Lambs
8. Poltergeist

Love all horror movies.
Night Of Liviing Dead(original) scared the hell out of me. I still watch it all the time though. I will however pass on the remake of Friday the 13th, why remake a classic

Demons, ghosts, and zombies are my favorite. I like Sci Fi horror also.

Exorcist 1 & 3
The Others
Sixth Sense
Evil Dead series
The Ring
The Grudge
The Eye
Event Horizon
The Thing
Demons 1 & 2
The Unnameable 1 & 2
All the Dead and Living Dead movies

Plus many more I'm not thinking of now.

I am so gonna buy the remake of Friday the 13th. I do appreciate remakes.

I haven't seen a scary movie in a while. The last one was probably SAW IV. Is there anything new out there that is good and scary?
