  • Hi Guest - Did you know?
Hot Topics is a Safe for Work (SFW) forum.

Anyone good with Linear Algebra?

For 1) you will get some insight by trying some simple small examples, say with n=2 and n=3. This should show you how to attack the general case. In general you would start by using elementary row operations: R2 = R2 - n*R1, R3 = R3 - (2n)*R1, R4 = R4 - (3n)R1 etc. Then look at the form of the resulting matrix.

Damn, I used to be able to solve #2 and #3 (I never learnt that echolon matrix).
Now I'm dumbstruck by the matrix. Makes me miss the good old high school materials =="

I hope OP gets an answer sometime before we hit the 6th page of this thread.

^Unless someone filled the entire pages with numbers banging each other in awkward positions and breeding more numbers to later commit incest in their powers and roots to fill the matrices gaps, I don't think that would happen.

Oh.

The answer to the TITLED OP is yes and no. OP did not ask us to do his homework and if he did we would be complicit in fraud.

[/thread], if only for RAM's sake
