hes my new favorite artist. i just downloaded his album on itunes. you can listen to whole album through. every track is good. i dont really know how to describe his sound. it says its like synthpop alternative. theyve been showing various song clips in between mtv shows. hes also hot. you guys should check him out.

Kenna kicks much ass. :) How to describe his sound? I think of it as 80s new wave with soul, but with a 00s veneer.

I actually stumbled across him before his first album came out, when he was on (eek) Fred Durst's label. The label dropped him before releasing the album, but he finally got New Sacred Cow out on Sony, where it didn't really do much. He had the same sort of thing happen with his new album Make Sure They See My Face - label delays and whatnot. This time, I blame it on their first choice of single, "Out of Control (State of Emotion)", which I think was a crappy choice. Not that the song is awful - it's just not a good "radio-friendly" number. "Say Goodbye to Love" is a much better choice.

I've been listening to the new album quite a bit - nothing bad on there. I especially like the center section - "Say Goodbye to Love", "Sun Red Sky Blue", those. I do wish he'd buckle down and just write a HIT. I know he can do it, and it'd increase his audience about a hundredfold.

And if you haven't seen him live, go. He's incredible. And he'll chat with you after the show. Amazingly nice guy, and a great guy just to chat with.

yea i remember when fred durst had signed him and he was on some show on mtv where fred introduced him back when limp bizkit was popular. i thought he'd come out with something soon but i never heard anything.

it sucks his promotion is so bad. i think he's very talented. the mtv promos are pretty bad because they don't show his name enough. there was a clip of him performing one song and all my friends stopped and said who is that? but i didnt see the name until another promo later by myself.

i would love to see him live. i wish he would tour with common. my favorite tracks are "be still" and "wide awake." "say goodbye to love" is a good single for the radio. i think people would think it is pharrell from the neptunes though.

Chad Hugo produced - he and Kenna are high school chums - so perhaps that's not too surprising. He's still on tour with She Wants Revenge, last I saw.

i remember when fred durst introduced him back when limp bizkit was popular. it sucks he hasn't had commercial success. i love his music. my favorite tracks are "be still" and "wide awake". but i think you are right about "say goodbye to love" being a single. it almost reminds me of a pharrell from the neptunes song though. not a copycat but the kind of song he would make

sorry for the double post my comp wasnt displaying the first one initially

I've been down with Kenna ever since I saw the video on MTV2 for "Hell Bent" from New Sacred Cow back in '01/'02. The new album Make Sure They See My Face easily tops his debut. He's very underrated. It would be nice to see him receive some level commercial success though.
