I'm just wondering if there is anyone here that works in the travel industry that might have knowledge on the best way to get the cheapest rates at a nice hotel in Anaheim for the fellow JUBBERS October 3rd to October 5th.

OK, what type of hotel are you looking for? Do you want a cheap Motel 6, or a mid-priced brand like Courtyard by Marriott, Hilton Garden Inn, or do you want full-service hotels like Marriott, Sheraton, Hilton, etc.?

Also, how many rooms would you expect to need? If you have more than 10 rooms I could negotiate a group contract with the hotel, which generally drops the rate further than published rates.

Very cool. It might be easier if we decided how many people to have per room. If we had 2 people per room, that would cut the cost for each person. However, some people may not want to share a room.

Can you give us a rough idea of how much it might be for the 2 nights (3 days) for lets say 10 rooms with 2 people in each room. We already have more than 20 people on our list and it will hopefully just keep growing over time. So I think that would give us an idea of what people might be paying. If we get an estimate for 10 rooms, would we be able to order more rooms later? Hopefully we will need more than 50 rooms!

And then as for paying for these rooms, how would that work? Could we just have the rooms on hold for a short period and have JUBBERS calling them to reseve them with their credit cards, and as we need more rooms, just hold more of them.

We have people that are budget conscious some that are not. Some people don't care and just want it to be cheap, others do not want to put up with the noise that can often times be associated with a cheap motel. Maybe we should start by looking at the mid rage pricing. I don't think that any of the hotels in Anaheim are very expensive. There is a lot of competition in that area.





It would be nice if we could have JUB send out an email to every member on JUB about the event so that we could get a bunch more people to come.

I have already offered dkonfrost to play with action figures and I think that it was Stacy that offered him to dance out of a cake.
