Personally I am never a fan of gifts like flowers, candies and things similar. I would have a more 'durable' item that could cherish instead of something that will be consumed and never seen again.

Um, just a thought, Hon--if you do send flowers, you might call first and reveal that you're doing so. Otherwise, your friend may think they are make-up flowers and get all hopeful, and that would not be good once your name is discovered on the card.

Good idea. If she was the dumper and got flowers, she might think she is being stalked by psycho-ex.

*to qualify that statement, if it was a hot guy sending/bringing me flowers, I would like that more than dinner with you. But I'd still love to have breakfast with you the next day and tell you all about my flowers.
