This guy was just an amazing performer. We need talant like this again! I'm only 33 and I wish there was better talant out there. Not gonna bash any current celebs......just watch and you will know what I am talking about.

Vegas originals don't come any bigger than the members of The Rat Pack...I wonder if Sammy had any money left for his Loyal young-Wife to live on?

Yes I miss him. Very fun and dynamic performer. Also wasn't he bisexual?

He was an amazing performer, but I was never really a fan of the Rat Pack. I still couldn't stand their style of singing, and I still can't. However, Sammy would have been the one I would choose if I had to chose one of them.

Still, I don't think I'll ever forget this:

I don't believe his wife really recieved anything. I believe he was in debt with a lot of back taxes. I had never hear that he was bisexual....that's an interesting comment.

"The Candy Man" was a number one hit.

I loved Sammy!

I am old enough to remember him everywhere on TV in the late 1960's and early 1970's.

He was a rat packer, but also an amazing performer in his own right. I don't think he got the full credit for his talents.

He was funny, and could laugh at the bigotry that existed at the time (see "All in the Family" above). He could sing and dance.

But most importantly, he entertained.

Yes, I do miss him.

RIP Mr. Davis...:D

Who?

*looks up on wikipedia* Oh, before my time.

I was surprised to find out he was Puerto Rican

Kind of interesting note.....
Sammy died in 1990 at 64 years of age (young in my opinion)
His mother Elvera Sanchez died 10 years later in 2000 at 95 years of age
His Grand mother Luisa Sanchez died 6 years after he did in 1996 at 112 years of age.

I miss the whole Rat Pack. If only gays would listen to this music instead of vacuous bints like Lady Gaga.

He was the candy man, if any one can the candy man can..the candy man can....the candy man, the candy man, the candy man...
