Before I die I hope to see a production, but I doubt I will. It does not get revived often.

If you can't find a revival of the play, there is always the movie. Reviews have been very favourable:

I saw it in London, but so many years ago that I have forgotten when; I would agree that the film is a good alternative.

I saw the movie as an audience preview while I was in college. There were no credits, and not all the music was in place. We filled out cards about what we thought of the film, and they apparently made minor alterations and worked out some of the marketing based on those. (We did this a lot in college.) I think they ended up cutting (or shortening) a make-out scene. I found that odd that more people objected to that scene than to the one where Harvey Fierstein is getting impassively fucked on the dance floor, but hey.

I have seen the movie many times.

I have asked my local theatre to do TST, but I doubt they ever will. I don't know if Salem would have enough interest.

A million years ago.

It would be great if they remounted it.

It's a lot harder for straight people to understand how gay men can have intimacy than it is for them to understand how we fuck.

No, but I have it in print. I never knew it was a play before I found it in my late boyfriend's stuff. I've only seen parts of the movie. I found it quite memorable, but have only seen small parts.
