Anyone successfully quit smoking cold turkey?

I love to smoke, I started because I wanted to - not because I was influenced by other people or anything like that.
But it's really expensive these days and I hate what it does to my wallpaper and curtains LOL.
I don't really want to quit smoking, I just wish I could control my addiction - just a few cigarettes every now and then.
But I'm very self-indulgent so that's not gonna happen I'm afraid.
So, tomorrow is the big day, and I already know what's waiting for me.
