Love this show-Michael Cudlitz plays a gay cop and so far it hasn't been made a big deal of, i'm wondering where the writers will go with it- they have so many unexpected things coming at you in each episode it will be interesting to find out.
 
LOVE THIS SHOW!!! Definitely belongs in the "Shows you SHOULD be watching" pile, imo. Now admittedly, I started watching for Ben McKenzie--he really didn't do anything for me back when "The O.C." 1st came out, but I've really been diggin' him lately. Still, I think Regina King's "Lydia" has been my favorite character on the show.

Still sucks that they killed off Nate:mad:, but I'm liking the partnership with Ben and Sammy.

My only problem with the show is the short seasons.
 
I still have no clue how the show, Michael Cudlitz and ESPECIALLY Regina King have not been nominated for Emmy's or Golden Globes...seriously, week in and week out all three just blow me away.

It's pretty sad, but not at all surprising. Damn though, Regina NAILS her scenes, and I have to admit to being surprised at the caliber of Michael's performances. Never really thought much of him before Southland.

I'm kinda missing Chickie. Loved her last season when she took down the serial rapist.
 
I love Michael and Regina.
Ben Mckeinsie's character really sucks this season. He is a jerk.
 
the season finale is next week! i hope shawn hatosy's character comes thru, if not ben has a lot to answer for- also i thought the couple fighting over sex kinda turned me on- the guy was hot- i wanted to see what was going to happen up in that bedroom.
 
Hey has Ben ever shown his ass on this show? I have dying to see his ass for years? I mean it is on TNT and they are no sky about nudity.
 
I was just on the edge of my seat with this last episode...intense! And good LORD they are beating up Regina King with this baby....lol
 
yea i feel bad for lydia, but she keeps hiding it, and the show is showing, that youc an be pregnant in the field cause crazy things happen.

i love southland, i wished the seasons were longer, but hey id rather get 10 episodes of great quality, than 20 episodes of middle of the road quality and fillers.

also love lucy liu this season, i hope she comes back.

I've loved her on the show too....feel bad she NEVER gets to eat her lunches that she plans though...lol

but unfortunately I believe she was just cast in CBS' new Sherlock Holmes series as Watson (obvi it's a modern re-telling of it...lol)...plus she just got the promotion on the show which probs would mean she wouldn't be John's partner anymore.
