This is such a nice R&B/Pop song, by this band Onerepublic.

I've been listening to this song for a while now on Timbaland's "Shock Value" CD, but I just recently found out that the version on his CD is a remix.

The original version is gonna be on the band's album, and it will be the first single.

I recommend to give this song a listen because it's really nice. Both the original version, and Timbaland's remix. (I prefer the remix, but they are both good)

I really think this song's gonna be huge. (It's apparently already made an unsolicited chart run, reaching #86).

Original Version:

Timbaland Remix:

omfg. I have been listening to this song NON STOP since it was featured on So You Think You Can Dance last week. I freaking LOVE it. :luv:

I accidently found this song on a myspace playlist. It's phenominal. I prefer the original over the remix because it sounds more authentic to the lyrics than "bumping up" the beat.

I've been listening to it since Timbaland's CD came out. I LOVE it. And yes I prefer the remix as well. The song is just so haunting!

What a find, absolutely incredible, i mean its no UMBRELLA but its really good.

The not official video for the original is exceptional, but i found myself listening to the remix on repeat, though the original is good too. I usually can tell when a song will be a hit and i am getting a hit vibe from it. Radio will eat this up. This is real music, it captures the complexity of _____________.

That said though even though this is a good song, the band has one hit wonder written all over them :(.

I got more emotion out of it in the remix. I also wanted more, i didn't want it to end, its too short, i wanted a 3rd verse. Ill write a 3rd verse for it. My verse is in bold.

I'm holding on your rope,
Got me ten feet off the ground
I'm hearin what you say but I just can't make a sound
You tell me that you need me
Then you go and cut me down, but wait
You tell me that you're sorry
Didn't think I'd turn around, and say...

It's too late to apologize, it's too late
I said it's too late to apologize, it's too late

I'd take another chance, take a fall
Take a shot for you
And I need you like a heart needs a beat
But it's nothin new
I loved you with a fire red-
Now it's turning blue, and you say...
"Sorry" like the angel heaven let me think was you
But I'm afraid...

It's too late to apologize, it's too late
I said it's too late to apologize, it's too late

Im sorry that i let you love me right off a cliff
Im drowning thinking bout, first time we kissed
Our love downed a bottle of pills
But not even CPR could resuscitate this
Now we are walking the plank on Jack Sparrows ship
There is no going back,
Cupids asking for your final words republic

It's too late to apologize, it's too late
I said it's too late to apologize, it's too late

Bridge (guitar/piano)

It's too late to apologize, it's too late
I said it's too late to apologize, it's too late
It's too late to apologize, yeah
I said it's too late to apologize, yeah-
I'm holdin on your rope, got me ten feet off the ground...

yup

I think I like the original more only cuz that's the one I heard first and got used to for a month or 2 before I heard Timbaland's remix

but I love the remix as well, with the "Say It Right" vibe added to it...

.

Wow i finally just now heard this song on the radio and the DJ played it twice, back to back.

Its still good but its fading.

They are like next year's The Fray or Snow Patrol I'm projecting.
The lead singer's kind of cute, and the song's way catchy.

LOL i just heard it on the radio again and started to wonder why all of a sudden i am hearing it so often and wouldnt yah know it is currently the 2nd biggest song in the country, no wonder its getting so much airplay.

It took 13 weeks to currently get to the #2 spot on billboard.

I knew it was a hit when i first heard it.

I thought the song was by Enrique Iglesias for like a month before I finally heard a DJ say the name of the band on the radio.

Seriously. To be honest, I liked it more when I thought it was Enrique.

I think they'll be a one hit wonder. We probably won't hear from them after this one song.

I love this song, it makes me feel happy, esp. after a long day at work.

Timbaland is certainly exposing a lot of musicians that a lot of people would not normally hear. I have never heard of onerepublic before.

^ he was using another name before, that's why ;)
Yes the song is years old, I'm glad it finally made it to the radios, it's a great song and its author is very talented.
