Apple is Now Bigger Than Microsoft

buying whatever five thousand dollar computer the hipsters behind the counter tell me to ;)

I've seen that posted in every thread about Apple lately. What $5000 computer are you talking about? Most people I know have MacBooks that start at 999 or iMacs that start at 1199. Nowhere near 5 grand

There's no SLI/Crossfire support for Mac, which is one big reason I won't get one.

My current setup has 2 Nvidia GeForce 295GTX cards in SLI, and it's amazing.

I tend to view microsoft and apple as being two sides of the same coin, this obviously being a linux perspective :p

Sure, it's all the same.

Whatever.

You guys are talking about two different things. One is different, the other is not.

Corny was referring to the hardware, which is essentially the same (apart from the exterior look).

With you referring to the Mac as "easy and fun", you are talking about the software mostly, and yes that is substantially different (OS X vs Windows).

LOL For once I agree with you.

Microsoft and Apple are 2 sides of the same coin.

Now Linux on the other hand is like a set of dice. So many sides. :)

yeah, polyhedron dice LOL. There are soo many distributions theres a dedicated site to keep track of them all. Though for most people, Ubuntu or Mint is their best option. The purists like me tend to stick with Debian and the other early distros.
