Frankie, I'd love to send you some guavas if I could.
Dan, no frost here but we had some cold days last week. There were several days that I huddled in front of my space heater. Well, it has warmed up nicely, with temps back to about normal.
The holidays were good for me. I don't know why, but the people across the street kept bringing me all kinds of food just about every night, like chili, cookies, stuffing, pulled pork, pies, etc. And the lady left a large bag of items she was giving away, like sofa cushions, towels, and strings of Christmas lights. That's all nice, but I have to get rid of lots of stuff, I certainly don't need to acquire other people's stuff.
Well, it's back to the old grind. I'm going to have to do stuff that I've been putting off until after the holidays. I need to write up some bills, get some quotes on auto insurance, and renew my drivers license. This time they're requiring me to go in for the eye test. I don't know why I'm anxious about this, my eyesight is pretty good, but I can tell it isn't as sharp as it used to be. And there are also issues with Medicare and Social Security that I need to take care of.

Good Saturday morning, Frankie and Andrew!
I just saw a first this morning. A fox walked down my street. At first I thought it might be someone's pet. I thought I saw it wearing a thin red collar, but I might have imagined it. I don't think it belonged to anybody. My family has lived in this house since the late 1950s, and this is the first time I have ever seen a fox in the neighborhood.
The last couple of days I've had a number of weird happenings. Last night when I tried to go online with my laptop, the code that I've always used to unlock my computer since I bought it in 2020 suddenly didn't work. So I had to fool around with it and finally had to reset my password. I'm sure it was something Apple did to force me to change it. So now I can get in, though I have to keep the paper with my new password next to me until I remember it, which seems to defeat the purpose of the security code. But now I'm getting messages that I have to enter my password to access my iCloud and FaceTime. I know I wrote it down somewhere in a notebook, I'll have to go look for it. Arrgh!
There was a hellacious catfight in my carport at 4:30 Friday morning, which went on for a couple of minutes, with yowling and even banging on my windows. I went out and didn't see anything. Finally I saw some black cat casually stroll away, I never saw the other combatant. But there was a horrible smell of shit out there, I guess one of the cats decided to fight dirty. In the daytime I could see it. So I had to back my car out, and run the hose all over the carport to wash away the catshit and clean out the place.
Last night I went to the Rare Fruit Council meeting, and there was a hot 20-something young guy there. He dressed in a tight form-fitting T-shirt which showed off his muscles and physique, with nice pants and a black ball cap. A little too self-knowing, if you know what I mean. Damn, that boy looked good enough to eat!

Dan, it won't be quite that cold here, but it's going to be chilly. They've got a cold weather advisory out for tomorrow morning, with a temp of 42, but the wind will cause it to feel colder. Then they're saying temps will moderate over the weekend, but not really very warm, with lows in th upper 50s and highs of 74. But it's going to get cold again on Martin Luther King Day, going down to 43, and remaining chilly for a couple of days. Bundle up!
Paul, I think you're right about that hot young guy. He always goes to the meetings with this big guy (big and bulky, not particularly fit-looking), so I think there's something going on there. I've even caught myself musing, who's the top and who's the bottom with those guys.

We have some feral cats, but apparently not enough. Because an occasional mouse gets into this house.
When I was working and heading to catch the bus at an insanely early hour, I'd occasionally encounter a skunk. We kept our distance and there was never any embarrassing incident. But never a fox.

Loner, those look like Parana pines, in the Araucaria genus. They once covered huge areas of South America before they all got logged out. My avatar is a picture of a Norfolk Island pine growing in my front yard. It is even bigger than when I took the picture 10 years ago. It is now over 30 feet tall.

I am accessing and typing this on my cell phone, because the batteries in my MacBook Air suddenly won’t hold a charge anymore. This is the fourth time this has happened to me, and I don’t want to use up the 10 percent charge left on it and lose everything, which is what happened the previous times. Fortunately my cell phone is linked to my laptop, so I can access JUB from here. But everything is much smaller and more difficult to navigate on here, so I probably won’t be on here as much. As for the porn, it will be like watching ants fucking, which I can expand to look like mice fucking. Oh joy!
I’m not looking forward to buying another laptop or getting my current one fixed, either way it’s going to cost a lot of money. I’m wondering if I can make do with the cell phone for awhile.

They may be sorta pricy but If I had the cash I'd buy a pentium laptop , instead of buying a High End Mac Book , unless I Were a DJ , I'd go for a MacBook
but pentium laptops lasts long if you take good care of them , mine is over a decade old model and it still works
