The Arcade Fire - Neon Bible

New Arcade Fire album due out in March. i know expectations are going to be WAY to high for this album, but they should be. not only was funeral such an amazing album, but they also put on the best live show i've ever seen.

It leaked all ready? I may just wait till its release. I have Funeral and its good, but I hardly listen to it. The track on the Six Feet Under ST is really good though.

I love the first half of the studio version of Intervention with the organ and all. It's such a powerful sound, but I really prefer a live version they did a couple years ago, more of an acoustic version with Owen Pallett playing the violin in the background. It still sends chills down my spine every time I hear it!

Really look forward to hearing it. I loved 'Funeral', and I hear they're really wicked live.

Same here. I think that the hype around AF was way too big, they are good band, but one of the best? I doubt. Also liked them live (only on TV unfortunatelly), that really sounded exciting, I would say much better than on the record.
So I don't have any expectations on the new album, I'll downloaded soon and put some comments than
Must admit that Funeral was one of the last original CD's that I've bought, before I surrendered completely to the magic of downloading and mp3's #-o :-)

I've had the album before the hype, so that is not a factor as to why I have hardly given it proper time to listen. I guess I have not reached a point where I "get" the music and can really appreciate it. I did give it a spin yesterday and I really enjoyed it again. As for the new album I'll go out and buy it when it's released and have a listen. Chances are I'll wait to fully get all I can from Funeral before settling on the new album.

Just finished listening to Neon Bible and it's amazing. It's easily going to make my best/favorite releases of 2007 list. Much more accessible then "Funeral" which is very good as well. Neon Bible is great and it has a darker feel to it,musically and lyrically. I didn't listen to the leak. I'm a sucker for packaging, so I bought the deluxe edition of the album. It comes in a box with two flip books,lyric booklet, and cd in a plastic sleeve housed in a box. Really cool. I love when artists go all out with the album artwork presentation. Amazing record! I could only imagine how the vinyl release will look.

Neon Bible may top Funeral for me. This album feels more atmospheric, and actually darker even though Funeral was a) titled Funeral and b) pertaining to the band members' family members' deaths. Neon Bible is a great follow-up, and it might be my favorite record of the year, so far, topping the new Bloc Party and Of Montreal.

I'm impressed.
After the first listen I thought "not as accessible as FUNERAL", but I had to listen to it again, straight away. An album with so many layers, little surprises - dark,Yes but very satisfying to this guys ears!
I'm going to enjoy getting to know "Neon Bible".

Arcade Fire finally made it downunda, and I saw them last night.
One of the best live acts I've seen.
More significantly, it brought "Neon Bible" alive for me.
To be honest, I never really "got it" the way I did "Funeral".
Seeing the energy and enthusiasm of the band just brought out "Neon Bibles'" vitality.

Watching some of the band-members antics, I thought...they must be thinking "I've got the best job in the world"
What a great night!:D

All of their work is fantastic, and I agree with you Ray; The live performances they put on, are absolutely spectacular. ..|!
Definitely worth seeing them live, if you're a fan! ..Actually, even if you're not, it's still awesome! :p

I saw them at coachella...and it was amazing! They are just as good live, and they play so many different instruments, their music is great

I'm going to see them in three weeks in Tokyo - I can't wait! I've only just gotten into them, and bought the ticket when I was still a little unsure of their music (because I knew they'd be amazing live). Since then I've been listening non-stop! Funeral is amazing, every song is incredible.
