-and ya'll (whether you've been on welfare yourself or not, I suspect not) can quit pretending it causes crime by encouraging laziness. That isn't how shit works. Unless you live in Ben's alternate dimension, apparently - I'm still wondering how he gets internet service there.

Nevermind the fact that most Americans who use welfare do so as a temporary fix to get on their feet. According to the actual numbers (if facts matter at all to Mr Ben) very few are on welfare for more than a few months to a year.

I didn't say it encourages laziness. I said it makes work less attractive. It can make ordinary wages seem insufficient to justify the effort---and uncool. And if welfare provides the essentials of for and shelter, work ceases to be necessary.

So white people, accounting for the largest consumers of welfare, must be hellafied lazy, huh?

I don't think black Americans should feel GUILTY for the behaviour of individuals. The media do not make white people feel guilty for the actions of white men who commit crime. In Canada I doubt white men feel guilty about Paul Bernardo murdering and raping two teenage girls. I doubt white women feel guilty for Karla Homolka actions. So why is the OP trying to make black Americans feel guilty? There are over almost 40 million blacks in the USA. And yes there are problems with crime nobody is disputing that. It is a vicious cycle of poverty, crime, lack of employment opportunities ect.
