Urgh get this crap on tv all the time around 4am.

0400-0500 the time when people aren't insomniacs watching "buy it now" shows or people getting up for work, so they put that benny someone on tv.

Benny Hinn is mild compared to some of the church services I have attended; however, the answer is "yes" to your question. Americans still do attend church service similar to this.

Wikipedia states Hinn was born in Jaffe, Isreal.

Joel Osteen took over as pastor of his church when his father died. His father was the pastor of that church until his death. Before that, Joel worked in the audio/video room.
