Do not judge the majority based on the extremely simpleminded, and hypocritical, choices of the few because then you are no different from them. The vast majority of the outspoken bible gay bashing thumpers always neglect to remember the passages that speak of interesting topics such as: God loves everyone/all men (and women) are equal, Be good to others regardless of your differences, and especially the don’t judge/condemn people for only God can. I live in the Bible Belt of America (aka the Bible Thumping South) and the times I've heard these people use the bible to justify slavery/racism/homophobia/gender inequality is ridiculous. One little paragraph that speaks of the subject and suddenly they think they can justify slavery. Coincidentally the entire passage (when you read what the entries before and afterword’s) is actually condemning acts of slavery as being sinful for all men are equal to the true master God in his garden. I have nothing against other people’s religious views, nor do I think they are pointless or stupid like some outspoken members here; but if they are going to push their religion on others the least they can do is read and maybe learn a message or two about tolerance and love. It’s people like that who give normal/open-minded religious folks a bad reputation, and no that is not redundant the vast majority are actually somewhat open minded.
