Are pants getting tighter where you live?

A lot of the younger guys will still wear regular jeans (except the obviously gay ones) but guys around my age 25-30 are wearing tighter pants wherever I go, or maybe I am just noticing it more?

Not that I am complaining =D

Is fashion changing where you live? Who do you think they are trying to 'impress'?

Is there a difference between tight jeans and skinny jeans?

Not really a fan of seeing guys wear skinny jeans.

yes theres a difference, skinny jeans are tight all over. if your pants are just tight around your butt they're not skinny jeans.

Yes pants are getting tighter. But not because pants are getting slimmer. It's because people are getting fatter.

I suspect a lot of those wearing the 'regular' jeans

are actually just growing into them. Weight is now

a major issue across all social segments of the USA.

As an example, the USCG has used 160 lbs for an

average weight for a boater since 1960 or before.

They now use 185 lbs for their calculations.

Yo bro, don't be so quick to pass judgment on me. You were right behind me in the all you can eat buffet line  (*8*)

That may be a regional thing. I can't imagine any guy in my area wearing tight jeans besides straight legs.

most stores around here seem to stock about 80% skinny jeans.

it's annoying... even when I was 150, I couldn't wear skinny jeans. my body's just not built for them with my calf muscles.

I know.. it seems like it happened over night. I just went into a store recently I think it was American Eagle. They had a section for skinny jeans and another section low risers. When did guys start wearing low rise jeans?

in the '80's..tight jeans were regular jeans

love to see them come back

But I think there's a difference.
The new skinny jeans have lower waist lines and are made with some stretchy elastic fabric which clings.

But I think 80s pants (like Robert Plant here) had conventional fabric and high waists and I was told it was normal for guys to undo the top fly buttons in order to sit down.

yes, they are and the thing is that i can't wear jeans with too much room and jeans with too little room so i'm fucked. i had a big problem trying out jeans last week.

Thank God skinny pants are in fashion. I'm an older guy, but I wear skinny jeans and slim fit (D1) Dockers because I'm skinny! When I wear the regular cut pants I look like I'm wearing hand-me-downs from someone bigger. I suspect that some of the prior comments are right on the money. America is getting fatter, and pants sizes have expanded accordingly. My skinny fit Levies fit just about the same as regular Levis did back in the 70's.

I thought this was going to be a thread about pants getting tighter for another reason. And with pics. Darn.

Slim fitting clothes dominates fashion right now. On styleforum there is an entire religion on how to size jeans, coats and suits these days. Generally guys there always talk about sizing down by 2 pant sizes etc..to achieve that slim look. I went shopping for jeans last weekend and ended up buying raw denim jeans from APC brand. I couldn't believe how SMALL and extremely tight some of their jeans are. I tried one pair and couldn't take them off from my ankles, so I had my friend helping me pull them off in the fitting room. It was a hilarious experience.

Yes. Some of my friends (straight) are wearing skinny jeans and I see many more people with tight jeans. I rather have some room around my legs though.

I don't buy the theory that Slim fitting clothes are domonating mens closets....Most guys still wear shirts and jeans that are a regular fit...The average Guy doesnt like tucking his Shirt inside his pants..He's gonna wear a shirt with a loose fit and a pair of loose/regular jeans..

@ the end of the day Skinny guys will wear Skinny jeans and average size guys will go for the Regular fit look...

If a guy has a 34-waistline he's gonna have trouble wearing a size 32..If a guy has a 38-waistline he's gonna have a difficult time wearing a size 36....Keep in mind he might be able to fasten the button and zip up a pair of pants that is 2 sizes too small but it will NOT be a comfortable fit...And he better have a washboard-stomach if he's trying to pull off wearing jeans 2 sizes too small...

A Man can find a pair of jeans that compliment his Legs & Ass...He doesnt have to do the woman-thang and go 2 sizes too small to show off his Legs & Booty...

Women should be the only ones buying jeans that are a couple sizes too small...Their bodies are made for Super-tight jeans and they can pull it off........

Still baggy, but I noticed some not in tight, but in very thight. Even strikingly thight. Eternal pendulum.

Some people can wear skinny jeans, others can't. Some look good from the front but show their big bum and anorexic legs from the back.

This millionaire was criticised for showing off his big bum—
