If there are, how long have you been keeping them?

I know someone who does. She gives me loads of fancy shit like soaps and shampoos and honey and candles and plants and food she grows :) She makes all of it and I think she uses her bees in some of it but I dunno.

Last I heard the bees went crazy and said to hell with it.
Much like the dolphins of Douglas Adams.

I love honey bees.

In Portland after chickens, bees are the second most popular livestock.

It's really important we save the bees.

You can take all the bees in the world and keep them in Portland just keep them away from me :p
They are high on my phobia list

When I buy my house I plan on buying a hive or two for my own use. I live bees.

I keep wasps. #-o

Actually, this is the time of the year when the wasps are swarming and looking for a place to winter over. I've killed two nests so far. They're quite intense this year.

I keep Cs. I've got quite a few stacks of them in my safe.

Shouldn't be killing any bees - - and i say that even tho I'm highly allergic - There is a huge problem wih "something" killing bees - and without them - we don't eat !!
You can get local beekeepers to "move" them- - they're always happy to do it - even if they are not honey bees -
they have the suits and equipment to move them without injuring them (the bees ) or themselves.
My grandmother used to keep bees for honey -- and every time she went to collect it - she would wrap her red bandana around her head - and the bees recognized her by that and never ever bothered her.
Me - i ended up in the ER after a little honey bee sting -- allergic to ALL bees...

I honestly hadn't noticed. I have noticed the intensity of the Spiders though.

Grandma, who lived nearly 94 years in Colorado, always said (and she was pretty reliable), when the Wasps were bad, it would be cold winter. When the spiders were bad, it would be warm.

So maybe on my end it will be warm (!) and you will be cold :(.

BTW, to stay on topic, there is a big honey company just around the corner from me, so I am happy about that. I like bees.

Has anyone ever put Honey on really good Vanilla Ice Cream? MMMMMMMMMMMM.

I just saw the movie, "The Secret Life of Bees" -- does that count?

I keep ants under my sink......
