I like watching Guy Fieri. Also Gordon Ramsay, but only on Masterchef Junior.

Nope - I spent about a week watching Kitchen Nightmares and laughing, and then the formula was so paint-by-numbers I lost interest. I also used to like Top Chef, but then I figured out one thing that ruined it forever... why am I watching a cooking reality competition and trying to agree with the judges, when I can't smell or taste the food, which is a big part of the judging? At least in singing and clothing competitions, the main senses are viable from a television set.

The two fat ladies (Jennifer Patterson, Clarissa Dixon-Wright) were wonderful, endearing, witty and outrageous. The food was almost an irrelevant diversion.
Nothing and no-one since has had any appeal for me whatsoever.

The Hairy Bikers. Keith Floyd of was also good in his heyday. The rest are trash. Gordon Ramsay is the king of trash.

Jacque Pepin for his unbelievable technique and ease of recipe. Ina Garten for her great recipes, I've never made a bad dish following her recipes. I used to watch Guy Fieri too but he got too for me. I like to watch Lidia Basteanich (sp) her Italian is fantastic. I also watch Cooks Kitchen, their recipes are great and I like the science they apply to the kitchen...

I watch mostly cooking shows on TV and then I go into the kitchen and try to make something that I saw that inspired me....

Please stop watching Guy Fieri. Thank you.

Guy Fieri and Gordon Ramsey are the only male ones and Rachael Ray is the only female chef I watch on TV.

I like Rachel Ray just for her energy and Anthony Bourdain for his irreverence. Food would be Pierre Franey, Jacques Pepin, and Madhur Jaffrey. Non-celebrity chefs would include Héctor Peniche in Mazatlan, Thierry Blouet in Puerto Vallarta and whomever makes the excellent Polish food at Christina's in Brooklyn.

I do like to watch Gordon Ramsey, and think he's got talent ... just too much of a ham in front of a camera :) Used to love watching Justin Wilson (and of course, Julia).

Agreed. They were the best. I also like Nigel Slater.

Gordon Ramsay has had a few mentions in the thread, but I'm afraid I think he's dreadful.

Keegan Gerhard, but only in person.

They are just doing their job for their own benefits.
I don't worship them.
