May all our Armed Forces, past and present, one day be accorded equal degrees of honor and respect in the world at large, regardless of sexual orientation.

of course there are !!

U.S. NAVY - Viet Nam (Naval Gunfire support) - (and the Pueblo incident)1966-1969

Speaking of Veterans-- I see a lot of the "public" in my job - and got to talking about the Navy to a guy -- and I never really felt that I contriubuted on the same level as those who were "in-country" and getting killed - because i always thought i had it pretty easy being on a ship and all - even tho we did get hit by shore battery - it wasn't the same as our boys on the ground - that's for sure -- So I'm sorta telling this VET that i was "only" in the Navy there -- and he freaking hugged me -- and said -- I can't thank you enuff for being there - you guys really helped us out -- a lot !!...
First time i ever heard that in 40 years.. I nearly cried..
I NEVER walk past a man in uniform - or when I learn that someone is a Vet - without saying - Thank you for serving !!

"REMEMBER THE PUEBLO" (nobody else does)

Translation: 97th Signal Batallion - 7th Army -- Europe -- Is that correct Daddy B ?......

How does someone that was in the navy know so much about the army? Every seaman that I've ever met (from any country) never knew anything at all about the other services.

Good for you BINOWGAYLATER.

7th US Army, Europe is correct... but not the 97th

thanks for your kind words, BINOWGAYLATER, you Squid you ! (*8*) My old man was a Navy veteran of the Korean Conflict, and some of my fondest memories of him are of the time spent watching the West Point Cadets and the Annapolis Midshipmen football games . . .

Go Army ! Beat Navy ! ;)

And many, many thanks to you JUBbers who are also Veterans ! (*8*) With remembrance of those who paid the ultimate price for "freedom" (such as it is) .
