I actually interviewed with William Higgins when I lived in San Francisco. However, I was 27 or 28 at the time, and he said I was too old - his cut-off age at that time was about 24-25, and younger if he could get them. What I really wanted to do was write scripts for porn so that there could be some more interesting plot. I had written a story about my experience as a Freshmen in college when I had a football player for a roommate. His friend used to come to visit and threaten to force me to have sex with them. In the porn version, they would succeed. However, by now that's been done already, although I hadn't seen it when I wrote it.
I've dated several porn stars - none very famous, but still in the business or previously in the business. I dated one guy in Austin before he did a porn movie for Colt. He did a solo movie, and I bought the tape because like liked him so much. A fellow co-worker at a furniture company where I used to work had made dozens of porno movies, and it was a bit funny to watch those and then see him at work in the shipping department.
As far as I'm concerned, they are just regular people and are lucky to get high-paying jobs.
