Yip, I'm a gay and caucasian...in my country I'm a minority.
me too, and including the country part.....being "white" is also a minority as recenty reported by the census in the US. but i have never liked divisions of color, i prefer just country/region of origin. so i would say i am bi and canadian/german. Now that is double minority.

have you not noticed the million and one anti bisexual threads here?
to be honest i have not. i do know of the many thousand members on JUB, and if i were to think there were perhaps 45 threads of an anti-bisexual nature, that would mean that an extremely small percentage of JUB members are thick in the head. try not to bestow upon JUB a general statement based on what a few have said.

another one of my rules i like to live by is to "never let a minority of irrational thinkers adversely affect a majority of your thoughts" -wanderer

...being "white" is also a minority as recenty reported by the census in the US. ...

i'm wondering which census was that?

the last one i was from 2000 and placed "whites" at around 70% of the american population.

When I lived in Toronto, there was NO racial Majority. everyone was a minority, and although white people were still the largest minority, we were still under 40% of the city's population.

It made for a very cool city when everyone had to find a way to live together.

Im gay and im black (I'm out too). I have had some guys not like me cause i am black, but oh well..i know i am a good person so i try not to get bothered by it. Because i like white guys, i feel uncomfortable hanging around some gay black men because i feel like they will not accept me if they find out i like white guys, but when i hang out with white gay men, they accuse me of trying to act white because i don't act like i am from the 'hood (which i am not), i have also been accused of being on the down low, but i am not!

Gaysian, specifically Gay Chinese. It makes family pressure weird, and The Wedding Banquet one of my favorite movies.

i think wit afrika was talking about where he's from, south africa. in the u.s. it's still someting like 75% white.

sorry , should have included more details. 2004 census info, and the areas are in CA, and in the southern states, where "whites" are now the same percentage or less than that of their "non-white" counterparts.

in many cities, where you may see a majority of the population as "white" there are other cities where the population is vastly made up of "non-white" cultures. so there is a balance.

the reason why i brought up this data in the first place was to poke a hole in the concept of minority, and that everyone is a minority in some respect. right before i wrote this current sentence i deleted an entire paragraph to precisely explain my point so nobody was offended, but since this is not the topic of this thread, i will flag myself with this:

offtopic:

and say yes indeed it is hard when it seems like the deck has been stacked against you. :D

I belong to a minority group with a population of 1.

I'm a man that is gay, eurasian (bi-racial), a vegetarian, green party member, with dual citizenship.

Does that mean that I'm one of a kind? The kind that they would ignore/delete/erase in statistics because it falls within the extremes of the data.
