I don't consider it part of my identity. I consider it (for me anyway) a preference. I consider myself a top because that's what I like best, and that's what I do given a choice. But if the guy I'm with says he doesn't want to bottom, I'm not going to get up, get dressed, and leave. We'll work something out. :)

I consider myself mostly a top, but then I've had BFs that were total tops, and I didn't have a problem with that - because they were extremely good at what they did. As far as penetration goes, I'm versatile, but more of a top than not. Usually I think of top and bottom as BDSM terms, in which case I'm a top who has experimented with bottoming.
