Hahaha ... no, not at all.

I've never seen such a failed reveal in my life. There is talk that they will start a huge social media campaign to swing the mood. Somehow I don't believe that his would work. They had their chance at the E3 to announce some changes. But? Nada.

I honestly don't think they'll change anything until after it is released. I am going to assume that they think people are all talk right now and things will calm down by the time it is released, that could possibly be true but I doubt that would be a significant amount of people anyway.

I feel bad that Killer Instinct is an exclusive.
 
Dependable on the future of games and exclusives it got I'd honestly get one if they got rid of all the nonsense and a price drop.

Is that why it's free to play with one character available? It will bomb and so will Dead Rising 3, that is probably why Capcom will just say "Fuck you Microsoft, your money can't save you"
 
I think the folks @ Microsoft are betting that the early adopters will love it and rave about it, then more and more people will become convinced about the merits of the system, too.

It probably will be a decent product.

I'm a PlayStation guy, though, and will remain so. I really don't see a compelling reason to switch to X-Box or to buy both One and 4.
 
Well today MS announced they're removing the Xbox One DRM requirements concerning the 24 hour check in and used game license. I guess finally they're listening to the public. It wouldn't shock me if a year after release they reinstate it though.
 
No, they deserver to suffer for trying to pull this crap off.

Also there is still the mandatoray always on kinect crap going on.

They're listening to the bottom line, which is if it doesn't sell we don't win. I think the many comments their idiot spokesman has made at E3 and beyond about it not being for the "casual" gamer as a way to explain the price, constant internet usage and Kinect have made me far more wary of the system.

Not saying this isn't a step in the right direction, but i'm damn sure saying it's not enough.

If microsoft wants to WIN they will announce a $350 xbox one bundle, you get an xbox one without kinect, along with a microsoft exclusive game, and a controller.


Make it available for a week. They will be back in the race and not just Sony's bitch. They need to take the loss and get Xbox One's out there.


Will they do this? Hell no. Instead they will get their asses sliced by Sony and then Nintendo when Super Mario world 3D is release in December and all over again when Mario Kart is released in the spring.

Killer Instinct is free with 1 character, but there will also be a full retail version like any other game. And even if you were to download it for free and eventually buy all characters the price wouldn't be higher than the retail version. Which is really not that bad of a model cause I honestly don't use every character in a fighting game anyway, unless there were unlocks involved with all of them.

And Dead Rising 3 sounds way too disappointing. Capcom stated they're trying to reach the "Call Of Duty crowd" with this one. That sounds absolutely awful to me.

Also I am still not interested in Xbox One without DRM because I really don't trust them. There has been so much back and forth with a lot of information when it comes to the console in the first place. And the fact that they could just add this shit in later considering the DRM thing was apparently "built into" the console.

I may be PS bias, but even with these changes, $100 is still $100. I can't believe I'm pulling the "recession" card but someone had to, and I'm sure I'm not the only one.
 
Well it's a good start and it has at least started me looking at the system as an option but they really need to make a great pitch now. Why should I abandon a perfectly good system for a $600 system which spies on me?

They need to get rid of the spying and make some great and quirky games. Not grumpy 30 year olds leading a covert ops x1000 but a couple of little big planet type games.

As it stands I think they'll release to a huge hoo ha, loose billions and just keep releasing games for the Xbox 360 as well as the one to turn a profit
 
Well, okay so I am super excited about the PS4, and wasn't going to even get an XBOX One, BUT they screwed me by making Dead Rising 3 exclusive to XBOX One!! I can't live without that game so...now I have to get an XBOX One. And the thing that's funny is that everyone's like "Oh yeah, Microsoft is going to lose a lot of money, no one's going to buy this stupid system," etc. but now I hear that the preorders for XBOX One are like sold out everywhere so...not sure what's going on.
