Are you highly intelligent?

By intelligent do you mean academically or can it be for other stuff as well. e.g. i have to be intelligent when doing my job in the way i have to know exactly what to do and be smart about it?? Or when i go boxing i know what moves to do to counter act my oponents, does that count as intelligence, or do i need a degree for me to be considerd 'intelligent'???

You don't need a degree to measure your intelligence. Any skills you possess can be an indication of intelligence. I measure intelligence by how well one is able to survive.

Intelligence is about relavence.

My largest problem is that im an underachiever. I could probably get straight As in school (and have before) but I realized that education is not limited to the classroom. There is an entire world out there waiting to be discovered and explored, which sometimes is far more rewarding than getting a high score on an exam.

I'm kindof followin what Maxpower's sayin, I think there are different kinds of 'smarts' that different people have.

I wouldn't say I am very bright academically, but I think that I can see things a lot clearer than most people around me can a lot of the time. Like some things I can pick up on that some people just don't seem to.

Also I agree about intelligence having to do with relevance. I've run across many, many people who claim to be very intelligent, but honestly, everything they know is such garbage. Not that it's not true, it's just not very useful when it comes to managing your life.

It's like, every human being's mind processes what they've previously experienced. And because each person has experienced different things throughout their lives, they've adapted to life differently- based on what they've come across. Some people come to more enlightened ways of life and perspectives on life than others, but I don't think that proves that they are smarter than someone else, I just think their mind hasn't been 'trained' to see the truth in things.

My IQ is 130, but believing in that would make me pretty stupid. Proof? I suck so bad in math. I'm not sure what 130 measured.
