Are you out on facebook?

Yes. I am.

But I can't say that it's been to my advantage, in any way.
 
My sole purpose of making Facebook is to share pictures.

So I left the 'interested in' information blank.

Besides, it's strange to fill it in, especially when you click on someone and see them "INTERESTED IN: men women friendship networking bla bla bla"

You can't have'em all :rolleyes:
 
I leave mine blank. Then become a fan of pages like 'I Feel bad for gay homeless men who don't have a closet to come out of'

Facebook is too public for you to be sharing ANY information, but we do enough as it is. I'll leave my sexuality a lone.
 
I respectfully disagree. Do I want the public to find out that I look like a sweaty hot mess after a drunken in not Not Pride? No. Do I mind if they knew I'm gay? No.

Because the "wrong people" might get your info, then create a complete identity or consumer profile of you from it and even publish all those details.
 
i put it up when i first started but then changed it after a while, its no one elses bloody business.

I'm out everywhere.

My FB doesn't say I'm interested in men, but it does say I'm married to one.

Again, I don't have 'interested in men" on there, but anybody reading my posts will know I'm gay. If finding out I'm gay will scare away future employers or distant family members, I'd spray-paint it in huge rainbow letters across my profile. Better to know now than to find out later.

I have two facebook accounts and I am out on both of them. 1 is more for family and I try to keep it relatively clean and the other one I call my gaybook lol. I allow myself to be a bit raunchier there.
 
With about 80 gay friends and 22 straight ones it should be a no brainer.
Although, I have no information in my profile and I use my JDsmagik avatar for visual reference.

btw: I need two more neighbors in MyTown for another expansion.

Yes. It's the most convenient way of informing new friends that there's no point in talking to me about girls.
 
If I did not have relatives on Facebook then I most likely have the 'Interested in: Men' filled out. I am out to my friends and I am not concerned about who else knows I'm gay any longer....other than the family (as of now). Though I am pretty sure it might be a little evident given that I have that part blank
