That was one of the best series finale endings EVER.

It could not have gone out another way.

As usual, I missed ANOTHER series that was gay-friendly. You know the routine guys, fill me on, what's going on?

"Six Feet Under" was a series on HBO (a few years back) that was about a family who owned a funeral home. It was set in California and had a good mix of drama and dark humor about a disfunctional family and the secrets surrounding the funeral profession. Every episode started with someone dying, and the episode was built around that event. All in all, I thought it was a fantastic series, and yes, one of the sons was gay.

I just got into Noah's Arc last year.

(Assumingly) dysfunctional family? Funeral home? Dark humor? Gay? Sounds like my kinda show. I'm off to Netflix, I've got some queuein to do.

Yep, it's got six seasons. I think David and Keith are the best, and most fully rounded gay couple ever on TV.

I thought the back-story of Keith raising his niece was one of the most human, inpisiring moments I've seen on a scripted series. And big props to the writers of SFU for not falling for typical Hollywood cliches and stereotypes when coming up with the storylines for David and Keith's relationship.

Yep. I saw them as real people, and not caricatures. Alan Ball really is a genius.

I was literally *just* listening to "Breathe Me" not even a minute ago. I heard it first on that episode and even though I had just been a casual watcher, I cried so much, simply beautiful.

It's incredible how the managed to make the ending this uplifting and sad at the same time and open-ended while still being cemented.

I just finished re-watching the entire series on DVD a few weeks ago, it was quite the sojourn to go through.

And, it should come as no surprise, that even though I'd seen certain episodes numerous times...I still found myself laughing at the dark humour, occasionally quoting lines to myself along with the characters, touched by the emotion, and of course...Wept like a baby when the last moments of the finale started.

I have yet to watch the series finale without crying, and I'm a tough person to make cry...At least, I think so.

And just to throw the most random of quotes out there, since this is one that went through my mind today:

"You got to try these hydroponic raspberries, grown by a guy name Gunther who once slept with Stevie Nicks."

The finale song, "Breathe Me" by Sia is not on this album, but I highly recommend this album.

"The Girl You Lost to Cocaine", "Little Black Sandals" and "Soon We'll Be Found" are amazing from the album above. The rest of the album is great too!
