I'm 22, and I feel that I've been taking the backseat in my life.. I feel like I haven't really been making the best of the time I have.

College is ending and it feels like I could have done so much more. I mean, I tried my best to be involved and make the best of it, but looking back it didn't seem like that much after all. Hopefully I will make the best of my time ahead!!

What about you guys?

>>>Hopefully I will make the best of my time ahead!!

Stop hoping.

Me? No, I'm not scared of growing old. I can't say as I really want to BE old, but I'm looking forward to GROWING old. I'm greatly enjoying my life. Each day, each week, each month, each year. 2009 has been great - looking forward to 2010.

I'm actually looking forward to it. I like watching how I, my features, and the world, changes as time goes by.

Plus, it's better than the alternative....being bitten by a vampire can be quite scary.

What Lex said. You're only 22, you've got your whole life ahead of you for fantastic new experiences, so get out there and get started!

I've felt like you do, and I'm twice your age. I'm making changes and so far things have been going great. Don't keep those negative thoughts, they'll only hold you back.

My mistake, sorry for my language. I mean I WILL!!!

If i wasn't afraid when i was 22 - i am now... My pension and SS may not support me. The last chance for an inheritance may not materialize.
Possible medical "conditions" scare me indeed.

Young people today need to worry now -
They will have no Pension, No medical insurance, no Social security (by the time they are eligible - i t will probably be gone - or replaced with a plan that will barely buy you cat food for dinner )
and it's not like you can "save up" because first you have to find 2 jobs that pay more than $12.00 an hour - Then, maybe, just maybe, you can afford the dollar menu at Micky D's - which - by then will be the $10.00 specials.. of course..

afraid of growing old - you bet your sweet ass.

Growing older isn't so bad when you make life happen, rather than just letting it. The more you sit on the sidelines and let it pass you by, the more you regret time passing, because you're wasting it.

Live it to the fullest, and you might not even notice getting older.

The older I get, the more worried I get. I worry about how I will support myself, where I live, who I'll be with (or more appropriately, who will want to be with me). I'm especially thinking about it today since today is my birthday...and I always get depressed around my birthday.

I am 18 and the other day when I found out taylor lautner was only 17 was the first time in my life when I truely felt old. Dont know why but I feel like Im just sitting around and life is passing me by already. I have done NOTHING.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEMSDUCKS !!
OLD? YOU'RE just a child !! and a cute one at that !!

Birthday times can be stressful -- but you have a whole nother year ahead - chronologically and by the calendar.
Fall can be kind of depressing -- cuz it seems the end of lots of things - but then comes the snow - and it melts and everything beautiful is renewed again !!

im terrified of growing older and i feel like so much of my 20s were wasted. i admit ive held myself back but im working on that. i am scared of the future. im approaching 30 and i work in a very fickle industry (acting) and have been scared to take that to the next level. its very scary and depressing yet very exciting. i still got some living to do and things to accomplish.

I would not say that I am scared. I will say that I am not happy about it though. The possible loss of a fully functioning body does bother me. In addition, the uncertainty of whether or not I could have disease on-set due to aging. I guess I really do appreciate my youth as I am aware that I am not going to always be able to function at the level at which I do now, even in the simplest ways.

Well, I've gotten older, but I've never gotten old. :D

I certainly wouldn't fear the aging process, if I were you, but I would look into all kinds of ways to stay involved, active, and interested in life...

Growing older doesn't scare me in the slightest. What does is financial concerns and not having enough money to survive or have my own home. That scares me.

I see your point.

Maybe you, I, and one or two others will have to pool resources and live out our final years together. :-)
