  • Hi Guest - Did you know?
Hot Topics is a Safe for Work (SFW) forum.

Attention Are you someone who always has to have the last word?

The Last Word was first served at the Detroit Athletic Club, circa 1915. Created just before the start of Prohibition, likely by a bartender named Frank Fogarty, it’s one of the cocktail canon’s most successful Prohibition-era drinks.

And that is the last word in Drinks, I guess.

I definitely don't ever insist on having the last word! :^o

Maybe we'd better close this thread now, to stop all those selfish posters who insist on having the last word!

I'd really prefer that you not use words like 'selfish' here.

There are several of our members who suffer greatly from their OCLWD. Be kind.

True this.

That's Obsessive Compulsive Last Word Disorder, isn't it?

English majors are kinda hard over about spelling out acronyms at first use.

Well, good morning to you too.

Remember when this was the last word in Corvettes?

That's from the 50s no? A little before my time. I wouldn't mind owning one though. :)

See, the first thing I think when I look at it is how hot is must get inside and how you'd need to make sure you parked in the shade.

I guess that sort of thought is why I've never owned a car.
