all right I can live with that, but on the flip side if there we no other religeons it is quite likely there would be no problem, as someone would be rather hard put to defend the rights of a minority group so minor it doesn't exist
A lot of PC things are done on behalf of people that really couldnt care one way or anothe, or who are actualy capable of seeing the true value of something enough that they dont need to remind other people that what is important to them need not be important to everyone else.

I think I am, I feel that pretty soon I will have to tape my mouth shut, and communicate with the blinking of my eyes to prevent from offending anyone. The only thing that keeps me from doing that is that people who are mute might find that offensive..

Just another one of the "joys" of being a past a certain age. If I happen to say something that is not exactly up to everyone else's standard of acceptability, nine times out of ten I hear, "Oh, don't' let him bother you. You know he's just getting old!"

Considering how often I have to make sure what I say isn't offensive to every last person around me, yes. I think we've just gotten a bit too ridiculous with 1- the way we treat people, and 2- the way we react to people.

Accept that other people have feelings and emotions and reactions to various expressions, and if you know better, don't use them. And when you learn better about the rest, don't use those, either.

funny thing is that most people don't even know what it means.

They whine about people being "politically correct" and get the definition wrong..

Being politically correct just means calling people what they want to be called... not anything past that.

If you're going to complain to me that you can't call a black woman "a nappy haired ho", then yes, I guess you dont' like political correctness.

Past that, it's just bigots complaining that they look mean for being bigots, and I'm sick of fucking hearing their yaps flapping.
