You heard about the entire 'Blacks for Trump?' organization having their national convention dinner at Denny's in Cleveland.
Party of 14.
You know, I live in Louisiana - Baton Rouge, in fact - and I know plenty of black people who identify as republicans.
The odd thing is all the liberal politically correct thinkers believe all black people in the south are victims of discrimination and all are democrat minded people.
AND to top this off, I am in higher education - college, you know - where the liberals have a stranglehold - and there are many well educated black people i know who are quite angry with the continuous "victim" mentality of democrats and self appointed black grievance industry spokespeople like Sharpton and Jackson and the media's image of black America. And they really resent the misrepresentation they see, but are silenced or intimidated if they speak out, so they keep quiet to themselves.
These people are well educated, hard working successful middle class Americans who know that anyone who has self determination and the balls to work for what they desire --- CAN be self determined. Many are first time college educated in their families - children of laborers or deprived families.
That is NOT to say that we don't have discussions about discrimination, economic deprivation and all that, but things are NOT as miserable as the media wants to project, and democrats wish to perpetuate. They ARE aware of and curse discrimination. And they are aware of and saddened by the demise of the solid black family unit.
I know several who will never vote for Clinton. They may not vote for Trump either, but vote the down-ticket positions. These people are never represented in the media and never calculated in the discussion of black Americans. But trust me, they exist - and are many if this small city is any indication.
Growing up in the 60's and 70's my family doctor was black, my favourite teacher was black, I almost married a black girl (but she was my best friend's sister so I backed down) and my dentist is black, yet I'm called racist because I don't buy into the BLM propaganda. It's extortion, that's all BLM is about. It's the $$ for nothing syndrome.

Why, because they had ambition, success and respect of their community?
It's called integration=equality.

My proctologist is black, does that give me a free pass?
Luckily I live far enough away from downtown Cleveland that the only thing I have to deal with is extra traffic around my work. All the hotels there are filled up.
