What tree do you prefer

I prefer a fake tree, im not a fan of wasting trees for a few weeks and tossing them out seeing all those poor trees in landfills.

But i haven't decorated the house in ages

Do you not have Christmas tree recycling? Our 'green waste' picks up real trees from the curbs, chips them all, and turns them into compost.

I've never understood the need to cut down a tree and hang baubles off it till it dies. We had a real tree once, but it was in a pot and after Christmas we planted it in the garden.

When we had Christmas tree's, they were always fake ones.

Real trees are nice... while you have them up. Getting them into the house, and then getting them out when you're done is a huge pain in the ass. With a fake tree, you just set up the pole, stick the branches in the holes... big ones go on the bottom, little ones go on the top. Some of the fake ones even open up like an umbrella!

We had a real tree from time to time, when I was a kid. We still have the stand too... it's one of those green plastic ones with the rotating legs so you can adjust it if it's crooked hehe

Mine is fake, we put it up on Thanksgiving weekend, a real tree would dry out (imo) if left up that long, I prefer real.

Definitely fake kind of guy here. A real tree? Why?

Some of the new artificial trees look so real you almost can't tell if it's real or fake. I grew up with having real trees but now use an artificial tree. I know a fresh tree smells wonderful but I can't see killing a tree for a couple weeks of enjoyment. I also don't miss the mess of cleaning up a dead tree.

I have an artificial tree. First reason, my sinuses like it a lot better. Second reason, I can put it up at Thanksgiving and not take it down until the middle of January without worrying about burning the house down. I'm all for the tradition of a real tree and all that, but artificial is so much more practical.

I prefer a real tree, unless I have to set it up or maintain it, in which case, I'll stick with an artificial one. :)

Husband is allergic to the real ones, so we have a fake one. I prefer the real ones though, even if I have to be the one to set it up.
