Does anybody know of a program to list your Itunes Artists in order by the cumulative amount of plays all of their tracks have?

Maybe there is even a way to do it in Itunes that I just don't know about yet... Either way, if somebody could help me out, that's be great! :)

Also, does anybody know if there is any way that you can get all of the plays from your Itunes library counted on your last.fm profile? I finally want to get a last.fm, but don't want all of the years worth of plays that I already have not being counted. :S

Winamp has a play count function :P

Last.fm only counts your plays from the point on when you installed the plugin.

iTunes records play counts, and they are listed by default in List view and the list below CoverFlow view. If the Play Count column is not there, right click in the list-heading row and select it from the list.

Once visible, click on the top of the Play Count column to list by play count.

^ yes, but that's play count per track ;)

last.fm by the way does the per artist count ;)

As I said before, I'm not looking for each track's individual play count, I'm looking for a play count for an artist, in which all of the artist's individual tracks play counts are added together.

Also, I know that usually last.fm only counts your plays once you joined, which is why I was asking if there is any way around that. ;o

I'm pretty sure now they allow new last.fm accounts to import their play count info. A friend of mine joined and I thought he had somehow listened to about 11000 songs in the span of 5 hours, but he actually only imported his existing info from Winamp.

Hooray, thanks a lot! :P
