I don't remember. I had tasted a family member's beer at a family party sometime as a kid. When I was 18 we were able to get "low" beer, but could not get hard liquor legally until 21. I know that I drank many times with coworkers and friends when I was in the Air Force from age 20 to 24, but suspect that I had tasted beer or alcohol before that.

Growing up our parents didn't really drink. They would buy a pint of cherry vodka for New Years Eve and it would last the rest of the year. I never even tasted a beer until I was 17. At 18 it was legal for weak beer (we called it 3.2% beer) to be purchased.
Although I don't remember my first legal drink of alcohol I'm sure it was with my best friend at the time (who was not legal) as we drove around in my car. I'm still not a fan of beer several decades later. I'd rather have a sweet alcoholic drink. Although i will admit I do like a very cold beer served in a mug or glass that has been in the freezer. I can drink that down fast like a soft drink soda! I don't remember my first legal "strong" drink at age 21.
