I just think that when people bombard forums with new "nonsense" threads (/completely inane discussions) it makes it much harder for other people to find the interesting / useful threads in the sea of nonsensical spam.

I get what you mean. It's not the first time some guy makes a thread entirely about the fact that he's a ~straight~ guy in a gay forum and, therefore, special and worthy of attention. But even if you don't care about it, some people's trash is other people's treasure...
