I've always known I was gay but I had sex with women for cover until about half way through first year college. I won the "womanizer of the year" award in college. But I never liked it. Never even once.

I've never really pursued it. Most of my friends are straight although I never thought it was an option, I was available to them. Maybe because I'm a relatively "unassuming gay guy" that straight men feel a bit more comfortable with me. I've had a few guys approach me while a bit drunk and curious... I usually turn them down because when they sober up they're going to get kinda.. weird around me. One guy told me that he saw the way I looked at him and that girls never really thought he was hot but that he knew I did... said he wanted just for once in his life to be with someone that was turned on by him.

I would explain that when Britney Spears can stagger drunk into a chapel in Vegas and get married for "fun" but still get more rights than I get after 17 years with my husband.. that's an issue that needs to be addressed.

If we were a straight couple, I could sponsor him into the country and he could get his green card. But because we're a gay couple, we live under the constant specter that he might have his Visa refused one year.

We don't want religious marriage.. we want civil marriage.. the kind you get at city hall. I want him to be my next of kin, to have my power of attorney, to inherit my estate without having the government take half of it.

If she was "raised" to think that I should be punished for being gay.. she was raised wrong.

How is saying I did something "advocating" it?

To "advocate" means to publicly support or suggest an activity. But I just said I did it.

I've always said that everyone should do what I did. Everyone needs to learn the facts and make their own decisions. If anyone takes the word of a 40 year-old porn maker they only know from the internet.. they need more help than I can give them.
