I've never heard of a Wiccan before.

I guess "self-taught" is best. I'm not a "joiner" so most of my learning is from books. LOTS of books. Lots of personal exploration.

If you've read my "show us your garden" thread you might see the small altar I've got out among the greenery. I also didn't show it but I've got a lot of crystals and minerals and rocks in a small rock garden strip in one part. It's been a great source of my... not being so fucking angry all the time.

A lot of porn even from the 70s has been deemed "public domain" because the creators are unknown and untraceable.

The international secret copyright treaties (yes, believe it or not...search on BoingBoing for details) are trying to make it so works with unknown/untraceable authors cannot be used by anyone. The stupidity of this is obvious, but the copyright nazis are pretty fucking stupid.

There's a HUGE treasure trove of porn from the 70s that is kinda... sitting there. Some of it is just amazing.

But the producers are all dead, any owners are gone, no trace of who even made a lot of it. It was such fly-by-night stuff back then, like the 'zines of the 80s and 90s.

I kinda feel like it chose me. My whole life, I've dreamed of a big, strong, kinda scary but still gentle green man who would come out of the woods by my house and play with me in the grass. It wasn't until I was much older and began to read that I found out about the Green Man in Wiccan stories.

No... I have no time for an "enemy" in Pagans.

And no.. no sex magic.

What are your thoughts on sound editing in porn? Do you prefer a more 'natural' audio track that isn't fucked around with too much, or are you in favor of enhancing/adding what's been recorded? Do you like hard audio cuts to accompany video cuts, or do you think auditory crossfades are better?

Lastly, is the sound editing usually done within FCP/Avid/whatever-you-use, or is it done separately in a program like ProTools?

It really depends.

I loved Fratmen's "natural Light natural sound" approach although that meant a Lot of crazy sound editing within FCP to cover up any of the room sounds and directing.

There was one Fratmen movie where the sound didn't record (Miles II) and virtually all of the sounds you hear were done by Folley by me in either my apartment or a friend's pool. Including the jerking off sounds and one moan (that's me making the cum noises).

Cocksure is pretty much the same but we try to make as much noise as we can while shooting.

But we're supposed to be kinda pro/am.

I love the sound design effects on the titan movies but we just don't have the budget, time or even reasons to do spacial effecting and 3D sound effects that they do. We're a different style. I'd love to do one like that just once.

Hmm, I'm not sure who you've met, but Wicca is a Pagan religion...just not the only Pagan religion (others include Asatru, Druidism, and Hinduism). There may be some (non-Wiccan) Pagans who consider Wiccans "The Enemy" but Wiccans can't consider Pagans that way, because Wiccans are Pagan.
