Wow... lots of questions there.

Shooting a movie isn't like telling two guys to have sex and pointing a camera at it, of course. It takes a lot more than half an hour to shoot a scene. We stop and start and move lights and change camera angles and move around and take breaks and the bottom goes to clean himself out a bit more and we go through half a box of condoms.

We go through the whole scene in still photographs first. This not only gives us pictures for the promotion but it also gives us a chance to block the scene out. We figure out what positions work best for the guys, how the scene will progress and plan it all out.

Then we go to video.

I'm talking the whole way through the scene. They don't just start and keep fucking for 30 minutes and cum... I get 5-7 minutes in each position, I shoot it from multiple angles and we stop and start and re-do things that don't work.

When we've finally got the footage we need, I'll say "Ok, let's go for the cumshot." We try to get the guys to cum together but it's not always possible...

As far as do we decide what happens in the scene before it gets shot... absolutely... that's often decided in negotiations for the scene long before it happens. Before we shoot a scene, I'll sit down with each performer privately and see where their boundaries are... if they're ok with getting cum on their chest/face/lips... if they'll rim, if they're ok with individual positions or what they like or dislike. That way I'm not asking the guys to do something they don't want to do when they're in front of the other performers.

I have a question about shooting rimming. It seems that getting the angle for that is difficult and it is often done poorly. To me, the best rimming shoots are when we get some stuff from back a little ways (so we can see the guy's meaty ass and the face in that ass) and then some close-ups of the tongue going around the hole and in and out of the hole But it's got to be hard to shoot because of the tight space, and when the rimmer is doing his thing, his face and tongue block out the ass and hole so all we see is the back of someone's head.

We do stuff like that often. I've done a few scenes where the guys leave their sneakers on (Brady Jensen/Steven Daigle, Colby Keller/John Magnum, Devin Draz/Hans VonFursen) or scenes with suits, scenes with a guy in a cast with a broken leg... We've had a lot of different things like that.

Scenes with the guys laughing, tickling each other, scenes with guys drinking, scenes with guys smoking or wearing motorcycle gear. The small guy fucking the big guy.
