Well I guess I was asking if it prepared you for porn - I mean timing issues - like maybe readying yourself for that perfect angle before the jizz unexpectedly flew out from an overly worked model . Or even handling uncertain young folk nervous about being shot right and stuff.

Or is that something only John does?

John shoots all the main features, so he's the one who worries about cum shots and I seldom have to work with people who are nervous, mostly because we create such a comfortable atmosphere before the movies get shot. But yeah, I'll give the odd peptalk which usually consists of "John will walk you through everything... he's a great guy to work with... just concentrate on looking hot which for you won't be tough."

I don't talk to many parents, but i'll tell you this... The industry really has changed. sure, there's still the bottom-feeding companies that will expliot young men, try to get them to bareback and allowing drug use on set, but most of the big and reputable companies will try any way they can to help out their talent.

Which I guess brings me to Fratmen's college fund.

Fratpad will soon be going to a three seasons per year format where Fratmen will be encouraged to put money away for college. They can stay at the Fratpad for 4 months (the length of a season) but will have to go to a semester of college if they want to return. We think that although Fratpad is fun and a great way to make money, it's no way for a young man to prepare himself for life outside and we feel that by kinda MAKING the guys go to school and get their degrees or training, we're helping them to make something out of themselves.

We'll hold back a portion of the Fratpad earnings so the guys will all have money to pay for college. Hey, maybe professor Spencer will teach your kids about something and maybe Doctor Chase will stick his finger up your ass at some point.

Are stills for image sets always taken by a separate camera, or are they pulled from high res footage?

How much give and take is there between the shooting crew, director and editors before a finished product is settled with?

How are front page/front cover/featured models chosen? What kind of pay do they typically receive for this?

What's your stance on background music?

We shoot them on a separate day with a real camera.. they're not jsut screen grabs.

Depends. If it's a regular shoot, John shoots the movie and our editor will finish it. I'll watch the movie and make sure we'll all good to go and then we're good to go.

How are front page/front cover/featured models chosen? What kind of pay do they typically receive for this?

No idea. We don't do print work.

What's your stance on background music?

It's only to be used in a comedic way.

So a guy comes in, all the way from, say, North Dakota, does a photo-shoot and a video.
The photos and video are perfect, the guy signs the "contract", he gets paid, everyone's happy.
He goes home.

Then some time later (when the photo's and video are online) he calls, saying he's changed his mind, it was all a prank gone horribly wrong, he'll reimburse the studio all the money he got for the shoot and the video, plus interest, and could you please, please, please take the pictures and the video off line.

What would the company's reaction be ?

Most companies will just flatly say no. You need to understand that movie costs are a lot more than just how much the model got paid. A full production costs thousands of dollars becuase it makes even more. Customers see that model's pictures previewed and expect his pictures to be on the site. You'd be defrauding your members if you said "hey.. come look at these hot pictures of this model" but didnt' have them once the people joined the site.

They expect to see updates every week.

It's never happened to us so I can't tell you what our reaction would be. But you need to understand that any movie is an investment.

I'm sure that Madonna would like it if "Shanghai Surprise" would just go away, and she even tried legal action to rid herself of that attrocious "a certain sacrifice" movie but in the end, the movie was released anyway.

However.. we - unlike most companies - go out of our way to make sure that the models understand what they're getting into and that there's no turning back. We make sure that it's what they really want. That's probably why we haven't had that problem.
